Overall Program Results

Tutorial Program – 75% of all students attending the after school program have increased by at least one letter grade.

Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) Program – 60% of students increase test scores by at least 20%.

Occupational Outreach Program – 70% of program participants received full-time or part-time employment within one year.

Internship Program – 100% of program participants gained hands-on experience within an area of employment.

College Preparation Program – 60% of all program participants enroll in an institution of higher learning.

Awards

In just 5 years since its inception, Jubilee has received over 30 awards, both local and national, in recognition of its outstanding achievements and service to the community.  Some of those awards include:

Occupational Outreach Program

The Occupational Outreach Program was started with the intention of serving 36 participants, and we’ve gone above and beyond our own expectations. We’ve served 66 young men in the past year and have many success stories to show for it. Through our program, seven young men received their GED, five returned to high school, ten obtained full time employment and 15 received part time employment.

The youth in the program are determined to successfully mend their broken past and responsibly take the initiative for their educational success.  They continue to work hard and reap the benefits of the Occupational Outreach Program.  Program Director, Bobby Jones, continues to stress the unlimited achievements that can be accomplished during the span of one's life.

One of our most recent and ongoing success stories comes from program participant, Thomas Williams. Thomas is a young man with many obstacles that hinder him from the life he wants to have. He chose to stay on the right path and work hard at the things he wanted to achieve. He received his GED and went on to Central Virginia Community College where he graduated at the top of his class. He has received a few job offers and has been excited and relieved to find that many companies want and need the skills and talents he possesses. He says, “it is not easy working for what you want, but you learn to appreciate it because you know you earned it”.
