Sterling A. Wilder, Executive Director

Sterling A. Wilder was selected as Jubilee’s Executive Director in 1998. He is a graduate of Lynchburg College with an M.ED. in Agency Counseling. He received his B.S in Accounting from Virginia State University where he graduated Cum Laude. His past experience includes:
Program Coordinator - Young Champions Mentoring Program at Lynchburg College
Founder & Executive Director - Building Young Men and Women Mentoring Services of Central Virginia
Auditor & Criminal Investigator - Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Wilder was appointed by Lynchburg City Council to serve on the Lynchburg School Board representing District II. His term started July 1, 1999. His many other community associations and activities include:  
President - Gamma Nu Lambda Chapter, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
Board Member - Free Clinic of Central Virginia, Inc.
Citizen’s Board - Youth & Prevention Services, City of Lynchburg
Advisory Council - Big Brothers Big Sisters
Partners Committee - Habitat for Humanity

Fannie Crider, Administrative Assistant
Ms. Fannie E. Crider, rightly considered the Center’s senior citizen, serves as administrative assistant. She considers this a refreshing diversity since retiring from Central Virginia Training Center after twenty-three years of service. E-mail.

Anita Wright, Program Coordinator
Anita is from Big Island, VA. She completed her undergraduate degree at Virginia University of Lynchburg and is currently matriculating at Virginia Union University. Anita is the program director at Jubilee where her special emphasis is the After School tutorial program and Summer Camp. E-mail.

Tance Laughon, Director of Public Relations and Special Events
Tance has been with Jubilee since March 2004.  She grew up in North Carolina and holds a B.A. from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia.  She helps disseminate information regarding Jubilee’s program to the community and coordinates the Center’s special events, most notably the Steeplechase at Oak Ridge. Duane Thomas, Occupational Outreach Program Director
A native of Brooklyn, New York, and Liberty University graduate, Duane joined Jubilee in January 2006. He worked for eight years with Lynchburg Juvenile Services as a caseworker with the Day Services program before joining the staff at Jubilee. Duane oversees and implements the day to day operations of the Occupational Outreach program.
