We are always seeking enthusiastic individuals who wish to help make a difference in the lives of children in our community. Please contact us for more details about these and other volunteer opportunities.

 

General
Supply Drive – Jubilee needs a wide variety of classroom supplies throughout the year. Host a drive at your church, office, Sunday School class, civic club, wherever!

Daily snack food drive – Collect individually wrapped healthy snacks for children. Think Goldfish, granola bars, pretzels, etc. What you would want YOUR child to eat. (no peanuts please)

Goodie bags for Interns

Weekend Snack Bags for Students – When some students leave Jubilee on Friday, their weekends are threatened by food insecurity and other obstacles. Help make the week-ends great and prepare small snacks of non-perishable food items for students.

14 years and up
Special Event set/clean up

Readers – Weekly. 30 minutes -1 hour. Read to a student or group of students after school. Assist a student with his reading skills by having him read to you.

Tutors – Weekly. 1hour Assist student or students who are having trouble with homework and/or classroom concepts. Tutoring is offered in core subjects – English, reading/writing, science, math, history/social studies.

16 years and up

Plan your own Fun Friday Activity – Volunteers who would like to coordinate their own special activity on Fun Friday are encouraged to do so. Classes could include most anything – knitting, dancing, crafts, sports clinic, chess, cooking, science activities, crafts, model building, etc.) 1-1.15 hours (one-time or ongoing) Friday afternoons only. Age requirement 16+ (solo or with a friend!) Feel free to bring a healthy snack for the group!

Summer Camp leaders/volunteers – Jubilee hosts a 10 to 12 week summer camp and session leaders are always needed. Camp sessions last one week each and take place from 10-12 or 2-4 Mon- Fri. Past sessions have included science, lacrosse, soccer, cooking, history, volleyball, cheerleading, crafts etc. 

18 years and up
Field Trip Chaperones

Supply Shoppers – shop for specific supply needs throughout the summer 1-2 hours a week.

Job Tours – Middle school students are engaged in career field trips to broaden their awareness of career paths. Host a tour of your office/organization and engage the next generation of workers. Time commitment – 1-2 hrs (10-30 students). Dates and times vary but summer months work best.
